How Shall They Hear Without a Preacher?

The Ministry of Preaching is primary at Calvary Baptist Church. We believe the Bible and thus "it is by the foolishness of preaching" that people come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

The Preaching ministry of Calvary Baptist Church is expositional by intent. We believe that is how the Lord intended the Word of God to be preached. Expositional preaching eliminates "preacher opinions" and causes both the preacher and people to get back to the basic question: What sayeth the Scriptures?  Expositional preaching is more demanding in the study as the preacher is preparing the sermons, but it is far more dynamic in its longterm effects. Expositional preaching fortifies the faith of those who listen. It causes them to learn, understand and systematize God’s Word. It gives our people the ability to grow spiritually and "walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God."
