Dr. Greg McLaughlin has been the senior pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama for the past thirty years. He was saved in February of 1968 and later called to preach in April of 1971. He is a 1972 graduate of Illinois State University, where he received a BA in Business Administration. In 1975 he graduated from Tennessee Temple Seminary. There, he received his Master of Divinity degree. He was honored by Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 1991 with a Doctor of Divinity degree. And in 1994 he completed his work for his Doctor of Ministry degree at Bob Jones University.

Dr. McLaughlin serves as a trustee for Maranatha Baptist Bible College and for Baptist World Missions.  We at Calvary are thankful for our pastor.  He is a man of direction, determination and diligence. His love for the Word of God is easily seen and sensed as he expounds the word in his teaching and preaching. He believes that the only ministry that truly glorifies the Lord is a balanced one of old fashion evangelism / personal soul winning and edification / discipleship. With this balance the lay person is equipped for the work of the ministry.

His wife, Shari, serves double-duty as both church and school secretary.   Her contribution to the ministry is invaluable.

The McLaughlins have four children - Joe, Rachel, Sonja, and Wesley, with Wesley being the only one still at home.
